Oopbuy Shipping Guide: Lines, Delivery Times and Customs
When you order through Oopbuy, your items first go to Oopbuy's warehouse in China. From there you choose how to ship them. This guide explains how to pick a line, what the labels in Oopbuy's estimator mean, and what customs looks like in your region.
Updated 13 October 2026. Line names, prices and transit times below come from Oopbuy's shipping estimator on that date (2 kg of clothing, no dimensions entered). They change daily, so quote your own parcel before you pay. Earlier versions of this guide suggested declaring fixed values below the real value of the goods; that advice has been removed. See how to declare on Oopbuy.
How Oopbuy shipping works
- Items arrive in the warehouse, are checked and photographed. Storage is free for 90 days, then ¥10 per 30 days.
- You select the items to ship together and submit a parcel.
- You choose a shipping line and pay international shipping. Oopbuy weighs and packs the parcel.
- You get a tracking number. Oopbuy's own guidance is roughly 15–30 days from submitting the parcel to delivery, depending on destination; individual lines list their own ranges.
Reading Oopbuy's shipping estimator
Each line has a code such as "BSF-DHL-DE-1": the last carrier in the name (DHL, Royal Mail, USPS, Colissimo …) is usually the company that delivers to your door. For each line the estimator shows:
- Transit time in working days.
- Price in CNY with Oopbuy's USD figure.
- Customs label:
- "Tax free": the line clears customs commercially, so you should not get a bill at the door. The charges are included in what the line costs, not waived.
- "Duties Payable by Recipient": you pay duty, VAT and the carrier's handling fee on delivery.
- "DDP" (on some US lines): duties paid by the line.
- Capacity: cheap lines can be full for the day. Oopbuy refreshes capacity at 12:00 China time.
The estimator applies a volumetric factor to each line, and bulky parcels are billed on volumetric weight, so enter real dimensions when you quote.
By region (estimator, 13 October 2026, 2 kg clothing)
Germany and the EU
- Germany: 15 lines listed, 14 marked "Tax free". Cheapest: BSF-DHL-DE-1, 7–14 working days, ¥236.43 ($39.56). Only the sea line was "Duties Payable by Recipient" (45–65 working days).
- Austria: 11 lines, all "Tax free". Cheapest: DDF-DHL-AT-1, 8–16 working days, ¥299.92.
- France: 17 lines, 15 "Tax free". Cheapest: ZTF-Colissimo-FR-1, 8–16 working days, ¥275.92.
EU customs since 1 July 2026: no duty-free allowance, a €3 flat duty per tariff line on parcels up to €150, import VAT on every parcel, and a handling fee announced from 1 November 2026. Full tables and sources: Oopbuy shipping to the EU.
United Kingdom
16 lines listed, 14 marked "Tax free". Cheapest that day: OopLine-P-GB-1, 8–12 working days, ¥205.52 ($34.39); several Royal Mail lines followed closely and two were full. VAT applies from the first pound, so "Tax free" lines save you a Royal Mail bill at the door.
United States
23 lines listed. Cheapest: DDF-GOFO-US-1, 15–20 working days, ¥349.52 ($58.48). 20 lines were marked "Tax free", two "DDP" and one UPS line "Duties Payable by Recipient". The $800 de minimis exemption has been suspended for all countries since 29 August 2025 and was made indefinite by CBP on 24 June 2026, so every parcel from China is dutiable. See our US tariffs guide.
Other destinations
Oopbuy ships to many more countries, with lines and customs rules that differ widely. Quote your parcel in Oopbuy's estimator and check your customs authority's thresholds; our customs calculator covers the US, UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Choosing a line
- Filter by customs label first. If you do not want a bill at the door, stick to "Tax free".
- Then compare price and transit time. The cheapest line is often only a few yuan cheaper than a faster one.
- Check restrictions. Lines exclude certain goods (batteries, liquids, powders, magnets, branded goods on some lines) and sometimes remote addresses or minimum weights. Read the line description.
- Insure what you would mind losing. Compensation follows each line's own scale and must be claimed within 7 days of delivery or 45 days of shipment.
Cutting shipping costs
- Consolidate: let items collect and ship one parcel.
- Remove boxes: shoe boxes and retail packaging add volumetric weight.
- Only buy packing services you need: vacuum packing and box folding cost extra and only pay off if they actually reduce volume.
- Use a shipping coupon: current offers are on our Oopbuy coupon page.
- Declare honestly: see how to declare on Oopbuy. Under-declaring is not a saving, it is a risk.
Common questions
Why isn't my tracking updating?
Parcels are often scanned only at hand-over points: departure from China, arrival in the destination country, hand-over to the local carrier. Gaps of several days are normal, especially around customs.
My parcel shows "delivered" but I don't have it
Check the tracking of the final carrier (DHL, Royal Mail, USPS …) as well as the line's own tracking, take screenshots of both, and contact Oopbuy support inside the claim window.
Package stuck at customs or returned?
Contact Oopbuy support with your parcel number. Oopbuy's terms put customs consequences (returns, fines, taxes) on the buyer, and confiscated parcels are not compensated.
When are the busy periods?
Chinese New Year (January/February), Singles' Day (11 November) and the weeks before Christmas bring warehouse and line backlogs. Submit parcels early.
